This general purpose,
vice-action grip features jaws which are manually tightened to secure the
sample. The grips will hold samples up to 1.2-inches (30 mm) in diameter and
with widths up to 1.75-inches (45 mm). A ball socket mounting screw on the
upper grip helps ensure axial alignment. Grips have hardened steel serrated
faces.
